Well at least it wasn’t all for nothing!

The £115 fee just to schedule an interview at the American Embassy in London was a bit of a jaw opener… (They can still reject it, ya know. Meaning you’d have to go through the process and the prices again!) As is national rails continuation of sheer and utter extortion with their tickets fares charging me £38.50 for a 50 minute trip into London in order to get to it. I could travel the entire breadth of Germany on a bullet train for about a tenner, but our rail service is beyond a joke.

So £153.50 + breakfast later, the lovely American lady approved my request for a visa and I can stay for as long as 180 days. :)) Now I just need to get through border control and customs…
